CYHSY

even though it's fat tuesday, thursday is going to be the shit. and for those of you who saw cyhsy on conan on 16dec05 i would have to sadly agree with you that it wasn't the best performance i've seen and i was even disappointed. but i wasn't one of those wankers slamming them on stereogum (or anywhere else they felt the need) because they had one lousy "debut" performance. i'm still not losing hope with this group. they have the talent and loads of potential to be great, they just need to figure out how they perform best live. they must be doing something right because i'm quite sure the david letterman crew saw them on conan and they still decided to book them for this thursday night (02mar06).
now i've never really listened to a band and was really disappointed when i saw them live. this may be the first case but i will find out on 28mar06 when i see them at the bluebird theater in denver.
if you decide to watch, please feel free to leave comments on what you thought!

presidents day weekend

the boys finally made it out (minus one) which made for a restless weekend. it started off 0715 thursday morning and the last arrival was 0230 friday morning due to weather. this also reminds me something i'd like to share, NEVER FLY UNITED, they don't care about their customers. anyways, we rode copper mtn on friday. this was the first time i rode copper and i really liked it. they had a rail line with kickers the entire length of the run, and it was fun. i will probably end up getting a pass for copper next year as well.
friday night the last amigo arrived, late as usually. the next two days we rode keystone, always intending to ride the night session but always lacking the energy, and did loads of catching up. one engagement (ata boy), one same job but much busier, one new job and one enjoying life taking vaca's. the weekend ended showing these peeps the loveland pass which is often used for backcountry riding. pictures were in order (order pics here). then back to the airport sunday night for an early departure monday morning. planes were leaving denver carrying passenger back to their homes after a long and busy presidents day weekend in the summit county. our last pland departed at 1945. this gave me about two full days in denver out of the last five days. that's two days to many for this guy.
all in all the weekend was a blast. great seeing all the people i grew up with over the last eight years. travels were safe and nobody got hurt (but there were a few 'close calls'). until the next time you visit...lates...

summit

so i finally did it, i went out and bought a pup on sunday, 05Jan06. her new name is summit and she is a german shorthair. she was whelped 13Dec05. see more pictures of summit here. now this summer is going to be pretty busy as i'll be training her to be a hunting dog. she also is able to hang out with me at work all day so we get to spend alot of time together. her first experience with snow was hilarious, she wasn't afraid and played in it alot, but got cold quickly. she'll adapt i'm sure. keep posted as i'll be posting more pictures as she grows.
